Medical Examinations (Non-NHS)

Certain services provided by the Doctors are not covered by the NHS and fees are payable for such items as:

  • HGV & PSV licenses
  • Elderly driver licenses
  • Insurance
  • Pre-employment medicals
  • Private certificates
  • Holiday vaccinations
  • Insurance claims
  • Fitness for sports

Charges are payable at the time of attendance, and the BMA recommended scale of fees is on display at the reception desk. For further information please see BMA.ORG.UK – Why do GP’s charge?

Our fees are available on request. It you have any queries regarding these, please contact us.

Medical Certificates

Self-certificates are available from your employer for sickness of up to one week. Any certificate required from the Doctor for periods up to the first week can only be provided as a private certificate for which there is a charge.

Private Patients

Patients, who are not NHS registered at this surgery, can be seen privately. Please contact the Reception Manager regarding fees.

Applications for a Firearms / Shotgun License

The practice does not complete the medical proforma in relation to any applications for a firearms / shotgun license or a renewal of a license.

For completion of the medical proforma patients will need to make arrangements with another medical practitioner; and as that practitioner will need to see their medical records, it is recommended patients sign up to our online access to your medical records.

Stopping Smoking

OneyouSurrey can offer smoking cessation support and advice.

Travel Vaccinations

We only offer NHS Travel Vaccinations only and these need to be pre-booked via our website. As we have limited availability the more notice you can give us the more we can accommodate your request.

Well Woman Clinics

This service is provided by two of our practice nurses. We strongly urge all women patients to attend for routine cervical smears when asked to do so.
